Mortimer Beaubien vs Ulu Pernick

Boxing Daily Report from the Switzerland National Finals 2025,  taking place on 26/04/2025 from Zurich, Switzerland:

The Zurich venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Mortimer Beaubien (6 - 0) who hails from Geneva, Switzerland and Ulu Pernick(29(2) - 23) from Basel, Switzerland.  

Round 1: 

Beaubien drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  Pernick ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Pernick pushes his forearm into Beaubien's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Pernick to stop fouling.

Pernick advances into close range and forces Beaubien to back into the ropes.  Pernick tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.

Beaubien switches the action to the outside.  Pernick drives a cross into Beaubien's body.

Pernick lands a right hook.  Pernick clinches his opponent.  Beaubien leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Pernick uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Beaubien behind the head. The ref breaks Pernick's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
