The Gulu venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Waqas Sharaf (7 - 17) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Phornello Mkapa(9 - 23(1)) from Kampala, Uganda.  

Round 1: 

Sharaf walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Mkapa digs in a left uppercut to Sharaf's liver.

Sharaf digs in a stinging right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Sharaf manouvers Mkapa onto the ropes.  Sharaf lands a sharp left hook.  
Mkapa lands a spiteful jab.  
Sharaf tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Sharaf drives a right hook into Mkapa's ribcage.  
Mkapa pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a spiteful jab.  
Mkapa is looking to keep his distance and lands a straight 1 - 2.
