Hassan Yaziji vs Rashid Kazmi

Boxing Daily Report from the Yemen National Finals 2025,  taking place on 29/04/2025 from Al Hudaydah, Yemen:

The Al Hudaydah venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Hassan Yaziji (13 - 9) who hails from Sana'a, Yemen and Rashid Kazmi(13 - 14) from Al Hudaydah, Yemen.  

Round 1: 

Yaziji is on target with a jab.

Kazmi drives a solid right hook into Yaziji's ribcage.  
Kazmi is looking to close the distance.  Kazmi pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut.  
Kazmi lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kazmi sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Yaziji hits home with a right hook.  
Kazmi pivots to the left of his opponent.  Yaziji tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Yaziji tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a cross.  
Yaziji steps to the outside and lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Yaziji is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab.

Kazmi drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Yaziji finds the target with a solid jab.  
Kazmi advances into close range and lands a right hook.  
Kazmi sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  Kazmi attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Yaziji to the neutral corner.  He lectures Kazmi but does not take away a point.

Yaziji is on target with a solid overhand left.  
Yaziji attempts to land a cross, but Kazmi blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Yaziji switches the action to the outside and drives a hard jab into his opponents face.  
Kazmi gets on the inside and connects with a left uppercut.  
Yaziji steps away from his opponent and throws an overhand left, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Yaziji is on target with a cross.  
Kazmi closes the distance.  Kazmi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.
