Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 01/06/2025 from Cork, Ireland:

The Cork venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Sam Farrell (10 - 13) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Joshua McBain(2 - 17) from Cork, Ireland.

Farrell finds the target with a jab.

McBain waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Farrell drives a sharp left hook into McBain's body.  
McBain connects with a stinging cross.  
McBain attempts to land a cross, but Farrell sidesteps and counters with a sharp cross.  
McBain advances into close range.  Farrell hits home with a sharp right hook.  
McBain closes the distance.  Farrell lands a left hook.  
Farrell is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Farrell attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores McBain's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
McBain is looking to close the distance and tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

McBain is looking to close the distance and hits home with a right hook.  Farrell holds on to his opponent.  McBain throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. As they grapple, Farrell pushes his forearm into McBain's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Farrell gets on the inside.  Farrell pivots to the right of his opponent.  Farrell tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right hook.
