Dave Nappier vs Neil Gauch

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 14/06/2025 from Saint Paul, USA:

The Saint Paul venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Dave Nappier (4 - 7) who hails from Miami, USA and Neil Gauch(3 - 10) from Saint Paul, USA.  

Round 1: 

Nappier attempts to land a jab, but Gauch sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Gauch walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Gauch lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Nappier steps to the outside and tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Gauch steps inside.  Nappier lands a left hook.  
Gauch manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Gauch connects with a solid left uppercut.  
Gauch is looking to close the distance.  Gauch quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Gauch steps inside.  Nappier attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Gauch time to recover.  
Gauch is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Gauch advances into close range and hits home with a left hook.  
Gauch throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Nappier time to recover.  
Nappier finds the target with a jab.

Nappier is on target with a left hook.  
Gauch connects with a left hook.  
Gauch is looking to close the distance.  Nappier connects with a solid left hook.  Nappier attempts to land a left hook, but Gauch blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Gauch manouvers Nappier onto the ropes.  Gauch pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a solid right hook.  
Gauch is on target with a right hook.  
Nappier throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging left hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Nappier's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Nappier switches the action to the outside.  Nappier waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Gauch lands a stinging cross.  
Nappier steps inside.  Gauch is on target with a right hook.  
Nappier is looking to close the distance.  Gauch throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Gauch advances into close range.  Nappier throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Gauch time to recover.  
Nappier switches the action to the outside and connects with a firm overhand right.  
Gauch hits home with a solid cross.  
Nappier hits home with an overhand left.  
Nappier throws a left hook, but Gauch ties up his opponent.  Gauch is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Gauch.  
Gauch digs in a solid right hook to Nappier's ribcage.
