Athanasius Barlas vs Gyes Melis

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 06/08/2025 from Athens, Greece:

The Athens venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Athanasius Barlas (18 - 36) who hails from Heraklion, Greece and Gyes Melis(18 - 13(2)) from Athens, Greece.  

Round 1: 

Melis gets on the inside.  Barlas drives a right hook into Melis's ribcage.  
Barlas advances into close range and hits home with a right hook.  
Melis gets on the inside and is on target with a solid left hook to Barlas's body.
