Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 29/08/2025 from Swindon, UK:

The Swindon venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are John Cecil (9 - 4) who hails from Portsmouth, UK and James Riddel(8 - 5(1)) from Swindon, UK.  

Round 1: 

Riddel drives a jab into Cecil's body.

Riddel is on target with a right hook to Cecil's body.  
Cecil gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Cecil advances into close range.  Riddel hits home with a left hook.  
Cecil manages to force Riddel onto the ropes.  Cecil lands a right hook.  
Cecil is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Riddel pivots to the side of his opponent, but Cecil finds the target with a jab.  
Riddel pivots from in front of his opponent and lands with a stiff jab.  
Riddel switches the action to the outside.  Cecil lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.

Riddel contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Cecil throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Riddel walks Cecil down, trapping him on the ropes.  Riddel is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Cecil lands a cross.  
Cecil is looking to close the distance.  Riddel lands a right hook.  Riddel throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
