Aki Ito vs Nori Muranaka

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 03/09/2025 from Yokohama, Japan:

The Yokohama venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Aki Ito (1 - 2) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Nori Muranaka(27(2) - 24(15)) from Yokohama, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Muranaka pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Muranaka closes the distance and hits home with a left hook.  
Muranaka closes the distance and walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Muranaka lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Ito almost instantly recovers. 
Ito sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Ito tries to land a cross, but Muranaka dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Muranaka advances into close range.  Muranaka pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ito attempts to land a right hook, but Muranaka dodges the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Muranaka pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Muranaka walks Ito down, trapping him on the ropes.  Muranaka sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Muranaka lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  Muranaka ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Muranaka pushes his forearm into Ito's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Muranaka to stop fouling.  
Muranaka lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Ito tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Ito steps to the outside.  Muranaka lands a cross.  
Ito lands an overhand left.  
Ito throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp cross.  
Muranaka gets on the inside and forces Ito to back into the corner.  Muranaka drives a solid left hook into Ito's ribs.  
Muranaka quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Muranaka lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Muranaka advances into close range.  Muranaka pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a firm right hook.  
Muranaka lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Muranaka's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.

Ito attempts to land a right hook, but Muranaka blocks the shot and counters with a forceful right hook to his opponents ribcage.  ITO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Muranaka switches the action to the outside.  Muranaka senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Muranaka lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body, AND ITO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.  It looks like Ito has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Muranaka lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Ito tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Ito attempts to land a jab, but Muranaka sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Muranaka feints a right hook, but Ito is not fooled and lands with a left uppercut.  
Muranaka manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Muranaka is on target with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Muranaka lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Ito trudges back to his corner looking very tired.  At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Ito's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!

Muranaka is looking to keep his distance.  Ito lands a stiff jab.  
Ito tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a big right uppercut.  ITO HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE TRIES TO RISE BUT HIS LEGS DONT RESPOND...THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Muranaka!
