Sam Farrell vs Mike McClelland

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 30/09/2025 from Limerick, Ireland:

The Limerick venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Sam Farrell (15 - 15) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Mike McClelland(1 - 8) from Limerick, Ireland.

Farrell closes the distance and hits home with a firm left hook.  
Farrell is looking to close the distance.  Farrell sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but McClelland digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Farrell gets on the inside.  Farrell attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives McClelland time to recover.

Farrell forces McClelland to retreat onto the ropes.  Farrell pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a solid right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
McClelland sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Farrell lands a cross.  
McClelland pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a solid left hook.  
Farrell feints a jab, tricking McClelland into countering with a right hook.  Farrell is waiting for the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Farrell manouvers his opponent into the red corner.  Farrell drives a sharp right uppercut into his opponents ribcage.  
Farrell hits home with a right uppercut.  
Farrell hits home with a sharp right hook.  Farrell attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores McClelland's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
