Oedipus Velis vs Leander Zaro

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 06/10/2025 from Heraklion, Greece:

The Heraklion venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Oedipus Velis (9 - 23) who hails from Heraklion, Greece and Leander Zaro(4 - 5) from Heraklion, Greece.  

Round 1: 

Zaro is looking to close the distance.  Velis connects with a left hook.  
Zaro walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Zaro lands a left hook.  
Velis lands an overhand right.  Velis tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

Zaro manouvers Velis onto the ropes.  Zaro pivots to the right of his opponent.  Velis attempts to land a jab, but Zaro slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Zaro is looking to close the distance.  Zaro sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Velis is on target with a firm left hook to Zaro's liver.

Zaro advances into close range and is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Velis steps away from his opponent and drives a hard jab into his opponents face.  
Zaro forces Velis to back into a corner.  Velis is on target with a jab.  
Zaro hits home with a firm right hook.
