Oedipus Velis vs Leander Zaro

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 27/11/2025 from Heraklion, Greece:

The Heraklion venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Oedipus Velis (13 - 26) who hails from Heraklion, Greece and Leander Zaro(5 - 6) from Heraklion, Greece.  

Round 1: 

Velis lands a cross.  
Zaro closes the distance.  Velis hits home with a right hook.  
Zaro throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Velis lands a solid cross.  
Velis is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Velis feints a left, and then lands with a ramrod jab.  
Velis steps to the outside.  Velis feints a cross, and then lands a sharp overhand right.

Velis tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Velis drives a hard jab into his opponents face.  
Zaro pivots from in front of his opponent.  Zaro attempts to land a jab, but Velis slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.
