Fidel Samora vs Alano Zaragosa

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 06/01/2026 from Havana, Cuba:

The Havana venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Fidel Samora (1 - 2) who hails from Camaguey, Cuba and Alano Zaragosa(2 - 0) from Havana, Cuba.  

Round 1: 

Zaragosa lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Samora switches the action to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Zaragosa gets on the inside and walks Samora into a corner.  Zaragosa is on target with a right hook to Samora's ribs.  
Samora steps to the outside.  Zaragosa hits home with an overhand left.

Zaragosa steps inside.  Samora drives a left uppercut into Zaragosa's body.  
Zaragosa quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Samora is on target with a right uppercut.  
Samora digs in a left hook to Zaragosa's liver.  
Samora connects with a left uppercut.  
Samora lands a left hook.  
Samora advances into close range.  Zaragosa hits home with a left uppercut.  
Zaragosa steps inside and digs in a stinging right hook to Samora's ribcage.  
Samora throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Zaragosa clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Samora pushes his forearm into Zaragosa's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Zaragosa hits home with a solid left hook.  
Zaragosa advances into close range.  Zaragosa pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Zaragosa lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Zaragosa is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Samora's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!

Samora steps inside.  Samora quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Zaragosa lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Zaragosa clinches his opponent.  Zaragosa pushes his forearm into Samora's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Zaragosa to stop fouling.  
Samora goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Zaragosa's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Samora is on target with a left hook.  
Samora switches the action to the outside and lands a cross.  
Zaragosa connects with a left hook.  Zaragosa ties up his opponent.  Zaragosa leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Samora throws a left uppercut, but Zaragosa ties up his opponent.  Samora is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Samora.  
Samora lands a stinging right uppercut.  Zaragosa clinches his opponent.  Zaragosa leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Zaragosa lands a right hook.  
Samora throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Zaragosa advances into close range and lands a left hook.  
Zaragosa closes the distance.  Zaragosa pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a firm right hook.  
Zaragosa connects with a right hook.  Zaragosa holds on to his opponent.  Zaragosa leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.
