Boxing Daily Report from the Belgium National Finals 2026,  taking place on 11/03/2026 from Ghent, Belgium:

The Ghent venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Super Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Laurenzo Renkens (4 - 5) who hails from Antwerp, Belgium and Tobias Amerycx(5 - 15) from Bruges, Belgium.  

Round 1: 

Renkens tries to keep the action at long range.  Amerycx tries to land a cross, but Renkens dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Renkens switches the action to the outside.  Amerycx attempts to land a jab, but Renkens blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.

Amerycx advances into close range and throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Renkens steps away from his opponent.  Amerycx finds the target with a stinging jab.

Renkens lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Renkens is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.

Amerycx manouvers Renkens into the red corner.  Renkens is on target with a cross.  
Amerycx gets on the inside.  Amerycx quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Amerycx pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a solid left uppercut.  
Amerycx tries to land a left uppercut, but Renkens blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Amerycx's ribcage.

Amerycx drives a stinging jab into his opponents face.

Renkens switches the action to the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Renkens backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Amerycx tries to tag Renkens on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Renkens steps to the outside and lands an overhand right, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Amerycx digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Amerycx closes the distance and hits home with a sharp right uppercut.  
Amerycx steps inside and lands a solid left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Renkens's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
