Sammy Lamptey vs Quaddus Asante

Boxing Daily Report from the Ghana National Finals 2026,  taking place on 26/03/2026 from Takoradi, Ghana:

The Takoradi venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Sammy Lamptey (30(1) - 25) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and Quaddus Asante(12 - 7) from Kumasi, Ghana.  

Round 1: 

Asante advances into close range.  Asante pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.

Asante is looking to keep his distance and drives a hard jab into his opponents face.  
Lamptey steps to the outside and tries to land an overhand right, but Asante sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut to Lamptey's body.  
Lamptey throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.  
Lamptey steps inside and tries to land a left uppercut, but Asante sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Lamptey's body.  
Lamptey tries to step out of his opponents range.  Asante tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.
