Mikio Shirai vs Ichiro Shimizu

Boxing Daily Report from the Japan National Finals 2026,  taking place on 26/03/2026 from Suita, Japan:

The Suita venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Mikio Shirai (10 - 9) who hails from Funabashi, Japan and Ichiro Shimizu(11 - 5) from Amagasaki, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Shimizu steps inside.  Shirai lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.
