Boxing Daily Report from the Switzerland National Finals 2026,  taking place on 26/04/2026 from Zurich, Switzerland:

The Zurich venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Berdy Pink (5 - 6) who hails from Bern, Switzerland and Gere Mehrhoff(30 - 16) from Bern, Switzerland.

Mehrhoff lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Mehrhoff lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Mehrhoff ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Mehrhoff pushes his forearm into Pink's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mehrhoff about fouling.

Mehrhoff lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Mehrhoff's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.
