Boxing Daily Report from the Zimbabwe National Finals 2026,  taking place on 29/04/2026 from Harare, Zimbabwe:

The Harare venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are John Chitepo (11 - 14) who hails from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and Lee Machapa(12 - 12) from Harare, Zimbabwe.

Chitepo throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Chitepo's liver.  
Chitepo tries to step out of his opponents range.  Machapa is on target with a jab.  Machapa throws an overhand left, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.

Machapa contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Chitepo drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Chitepo tries to land a jab, but Machapa slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Chitepo is looking to close the distance.  Machapa lands a right hook.  
Machapa lands a double right hook to his opponents head.
