Ben Fettes vs Adam Lacourse

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 28/05/2026 from Lafayette, USA:

The Lafayette venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ben Fettes (2 - 8) who hails from Cape Coral, USA and Adam Lacourse(22(1) - 15) from Lafayette, USA.  

Round 1: 

Lacourse pivots from in front of his opponent and snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.  
Lacourse is looking to close the distance.  Lacourse pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Fettes lands a cross.  
Fettes steps away from his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Lacourse steps inside and digs in a stinging left hook to Fettes's liver.

Fettes attempts to land a right hook, but Lacourse slips the shot and counters with a left hook.

Lacourse tries to step out of his opponents range.  Lacourse feints a jab, and then is on target with a cross.  
Lacourse is on target with a right hook.  
Lacourse drives a cross into Fettes's body.  
Lacourse steps inside and lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Lacourse sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Fettes is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Lacourse is looking to close the distance and walks Fettes onto the ropes.  Lacourse sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Fettes throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  
Lacourse sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a sharp right hook to Fettes's ribcage.  
Fettes tries to land a left uppercut, but Lacourse blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Lacourse pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Fettes tries to step out of his opponents range.  Lacourse lands a sharp cross.  Lacourse throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lacourse's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.
