Rory Mulryan vs Oscar MacNevin

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 04/09/2026 from Dublin, Ireland:

The Dublin venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Rory Mulryan (18 - 37(1)) who hails from Dundalk, Ireland and Oscar MacNevin(12 - 12(1)) from Dublin, Ireland.  

Round 1: 

MacNevin is on target with a jab.  
Mulryan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Mulryan throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Mulryan tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross.  
MacNevin is looking to close the distance.  MacNevin sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
MacNevin is looking to close the distance and forces Mulryan to retreat into a corner.  MacNevin digs in a right hook to Mulryan's body.  
MacNevin is looking to close the distance.  MacNevin pivots to the side of his opponent.  Mulryan attempts to land a left hook, but MacNevin dodges the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents ribs.

MacNevin lands a left hook.  Mulryan holds on to his opponent.  MacNevin leans on his opponent using all his weight. MacNevin pushes his forearm into Mulryan's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Mulryan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
MacNevin advances into close range and lands a right hook.  
MacNevin closes the distance and manouvers Mulryan onto the ropes.  MacNevin attempts to land a left hook, but Mulryan slips the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Mulryan steps to the outside and hits home with a hard jab.  
MacNevin is looking to close the distance.  MacNevin pivots to the side of his opponent, but Mulryan lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
MacNevin steps inside and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  MacNevin throws a left hook, but Mulryan ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, MacNevin pushes his forearm into Mulryan's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns MacNevin to stop fouling.  
Mulryan switches the action to the outside.  Mulryan is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  MacNevin lands a cross.  
MacNevin lands with a hard jab.  
MacNevin gets on the inside.  Mulryan is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  
MacNevin gets on the inside and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  MacNevin pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook.
