Isto Laukonen vs Pentti Parras

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 12/09/2026 from Helsinki, Finland:

The Helsinki venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Isto Laukonen (8 - 20(4)) who hails from Espoo, Finland and Pentti Parras(3 - 13) from Helsinki, Finland.  

Round 1: 

Parras quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a cross.

Parras forces Laukonen to retreat into the red corner.  Parras lands a cross to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Parras lands a jab, right hook and a cross to his opponents head.  
Laukonen connects with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Laukonen's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Laukonen advances into close range and hits home with a right uppercut.  Parras ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Parras pushes his forearm into Laukonen's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Parras about fouling.  
Parras throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Parras ties up his opponent.  Laukonen pushes his forearm into Parras's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Laukonen closes the distance.  Laukonen sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a left hook into Parras's body.  
Parras steps inside and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Parras drives a left uppercut into Laukonen's body.  Parras ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Laukonen pushes his forearm into Parras's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Laukonen about fouling.
