Boxing Daily Report from the Australia National Finals 2027,  taking place on 11/03/2027 from Gold Coast, Australia:

The Gold Coast venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Mauro Pagliuzzi (5 - 17(2)) who hails from Cairns, Australia and Ian Nicolaides(52(1) - 25) from Melbourne, Australia.  

Round 1: 

Pagliuzzi sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Nicolaides is on target with a hard jab.  
Pagliuzzi tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Nicolaides advances into close range and digs in a left hook to Pagliuzzi's body.

Nicolaides lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Nicolaides lands a right hook.  
Pagliuzzi sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Nicolaides lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Nicolaides closes the distance.  Pagliuzzi drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Nicolaides manouvers Pagliuzzi onto the ropes.  Pagliuzzi throws a right hook, but Nicolaides holds on to his opponent.  Pagliuzzi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Pagliuzzi.  
Nicolaides is on target with a sharp right hook to Pagliuzzi's ribs.  IT LOOKS LIKE PAGLIUZZI WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Nicolaides knows Pagliuzzi is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Nicolaides digs in a potent left uppercut to Pagliuzzi's body.  PAGLIUZZI IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE IS UNABLE TO GET UP BEFORE THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Nicolaides!
