Rob Purvis vs Sam Steele

Boxing Daily Report from the Canada National Finals 2027,  taking place on 11/03/2027 from Montreal, Canada:

The Montreal venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Rob Purvis (11 - 5) who hails from Surrey, Canada and Sam Steele(13 - 14) from Winnipeg, Canada.  

Round 1: 

Steele drives a stinging right hook into Purvis's ribs.

Steele walks Purvis down, trapping him on the ropes.  Purvis throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Steele's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Steele is on target with a stinging right uppercut.  
Steele is on target with a right hook.  
Purvis steps to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Steele steps inside and walks Purvis onto the ropes.  Steele is on target with a left hook.  
Purvis tries to step out of his opponents range and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Purvis finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Purvis steps to the outside and lands a jab.
