Clint Hoepo vs Rich Carruthers

Boxing Daily Report from the New Zealand National Finals 2027,  taking place on 11/04/2027 from Auckland, New Zealand:

The Auckland venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Clint Hoepo (13 - 6) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Rich Carruthers(30(1) - 9) from Manukau, New Zealand.  

Round 1:

Carruthers pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Carruthers is looking to close the distance.  Carruthers pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Hoepo switches the action to the outside and hits home with a stinging cross.  
Carruthers steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Carruthers steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Hoepo tries to tag Carruthers on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!
