Kenzie Mollison vs Mel Mingus

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 28/05/2027 from Mississauga, Canada:

The Mississauga venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Kenzie Mollison (16 - 11) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Mel Mingus(11 - 13) from Mississauga, Canada.  

Round 1: 

Mollison lands a straight 1 - 2.  Mollison tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Mingus closes the distance.  Mollison is on target with a right hook to Mingus's body.  Mollison tries to land a left hook, but Mingus blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Mollison tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Mollison lands a cross.  
Mollison is looking to keep his distance.  Mollison sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Mingus tries to land a cross, but Mollison parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Mollison sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Mollison lands a jab.  Mollison throws a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Mingus closes the distance.  Mollison hits home with a right hook.

Mingus advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping Mollison on the ropes.  Mingus quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Mingus tries to land a left uppercut, but Mollison blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Mollison sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but  goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Mollison's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Mollison is looking to keep the action on the outside and snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.  
Mollison steps to the outside.  Mingus tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Mingus forces Mollison to retreat onto the ropes.  Mingus sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Mollison is looking to close the distance and tries to land a right hook, but Mingus dodges the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Mingus advances into close range.  Mingus pivots to the right of his opponent.  Mollison attempts to land a right hook, but Mingus blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mingus is looking to close the distance.  Mingus sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Mollison is on target with a left hook.

Mingus walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Mingus pivots to the left of his opponent.  Mingus throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.

Mollison is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Mingus lands a jab.
