Alejandro Arreguin vs Juan Cepero

Boxing Daily Report from the Costa Rica National Finals 2028,  taking place on 11/03/2028 from San Jose, Costa Rica:

The San Jose venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Alejandro Arreguin (0 - 1) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Juan Cepero(15 - 11) from San Jose, Costa Rica.  

Round 1: 

Arreguin is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Cepero finds the target with a sharp jab.

Cepero is on target with a stiff jab.  
Cepero steps inside and walks Arreguin down, trapping him on the ropes.  Cepero connects with a left uppercut.  
Arreguin throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Cepero to the neutral corner.  He warns Arreguin that he could be heading for a point deduction.  
Cepero hits home with a solid left hook.  
Arreguin drives a left uppercut into his opponents liver.  
Cepero lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Cepero hits the target with a spiteful jab.

Arreguin switches the action to the outside and tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Cepero closes the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Cepero advances into close range.  Arreguin lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Cepero steps away from his opponent.  Cepero feints a left, and then lands a jab to the body, a jab to the head and an overhand right to the head.
