Boxing Daily Report from the Ivory Coast National Finals 2028,  taking place on 26/03/2028 from Abidjan, Ivory Coast:

The Abidjan venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Welterweight divison.

Obie walks Bay onto the ropes.  Obie connects with a left hook.  
Obie connects with a right hook.

Bay lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Bay steps to the outside and lands a jab to the head, a jab to the body and a cross to the head.  
Bay hits home with a stinging overhand left.  
Bay lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Bay lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Bay connects with a right uppercut.  
Bay is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Bay lands a firm left hook.  
Bay tries to keep the action at long range and lands a sharp cross.  
Obie gets on the inside.  Bay throws a left hook, but is unable to find the target.  Bay holds on to his opponent.  Obie pushes his forearm into Bay's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Obie to stop fouling.  
Bay is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with an overhand right.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Bay's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.  Obie's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!

Obie sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Obie pivots to the side of his opponent.  Obie throws a right hook, but Bay clinches his opponent.  Obie leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Bay switches the action to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Obie sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Bay hits home with a cross.  
Obie closes the distance and is on target with a right uppercut.
