Boxing Daily Report from the Ivory Coast National Finals 2028,  taking place on 26/03/2028 from Abidjan, Ivory Coast:

The Abidjan venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Destin Diderot (15(2) - 26) who hails from Bouake, Ivory Coast and Foster Gedeon(10 - 7) from Abidjan, Ivory Coast.  

Round 1:

Gedeon pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Diderot closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Gedeon holds on to his opponent.  Diderot leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  It looks like Gedeon has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Diderot steps inside.  Diderot pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Diderot lands a cross.  
Diderot steps inside.  Diderot sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a solid right hook into Gedeon's ribs.  
Diderot digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Diderot pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Gedeon throws a right hook, but Diderot holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Diderot pushes his forearm into Gedeon's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Diderot.  
Gedeon lands with a ramrod jab.  
Gedeon lands a spiteful jab.  
Diderot advances into close range.  Diderot pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Diderot lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Diderot senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Gedeon and just needs the right shot.  Diderot lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a cross to the head followed by a right hook to the body, KNOCKING GEDEON DOWN!  The count reaches 10, but Gedeon is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Diderot!
