Arran Castles vs David Girvan

Boxing Daily Report from the Jamaica National Finals 2028,  taking place on 26/03/2028 from Spanish Town, Jamaica:

The Spanish Town venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Arran Castles (2 - 6) who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and David Girvan(19 - 15) from Kingston, Jamaica.  

Round 1: 

Girvan closes the distance.  Girvan pivots to the side of his opponent.  Girvan tries to land a left hook, but Castles blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Girvan closes the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.

Girvan advances into close range and tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Castles tries to keep the action at long range.  Castles quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Castles lands a solid jab.  Castles throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Girvan lands two left uppercuts to the body, and one to the head.  
Girvan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents liver.  
Girvan is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook.  
Girvan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Girvan advances into close range and digs in a firm right hook to Castles's ribs.  
Girvan lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Girvan's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.
