Bradley Hughes vs Euan Fairlie

Boxing Daily Report from the Jamaica National Finals 2028,  taking place on 29/03/2028 from Spanish Town, Jamaica:

The Spanish Town venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Bradley Hughes (1 - 1) who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and Euan Fairlie(26 - 17) from Kingston, Jamaica.  

Round 1: 

Fairlie gets on the inside and attempts to land a right uppercut, but Hughes blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Fairlie lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Fairlie lands a cross to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Hughes switches the action to the outside.  Hughes quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.

Fairlie drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Fairlie attempts to land a left uppercut, but Hughes slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Fairlie steps inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Fairlie digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  Fairlie clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Fairlie pushes his forearm into Hughes's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Hughes is looking to keep his distance.  Hughes quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Hughes attempts to land a jab, but Fairlie blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Fairlie's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.
