Boxing Daily Report from the Kenya National Finals 2028,  taking place on 29/03/2028 from Kisumu, Kenya:

The Kisumu venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Light Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Clint Waithaka (10 - 17) who hails from Athi River, Kenya and Corey Ndururi(15(1) - 20) from Ruiru, Kenya.  

Round 1: 

Ndururi lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Ndururi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Waithaka lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Waithaka throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Waithaka is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a right hook, but Ndururi blocks the shot and counters with a firm left hook.

Ndururi is looking to close the distance.  Waithaka drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Waithaka digs in a stinging right hook to Ndururi's body.  
Ndururi tries to step out of his opponents range and tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Waithaka quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Waithaka advances into close range.  Ndururi connects with a solid right hook.  Ndururi tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Waithaka tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Waithaka is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a cross to his opponents body.  
Ndururi gets on the inside and forces Waithaka to back into the ropes.  Waithaka throws a left hook, but is off-target.  Waithaka clinches his opponent.  Waithaka pushes his forearm into Ndururi's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Waithaka.  
Ndururi hits home with a stinging left hook.  Waithaka ties up his opponent.  Waithaka is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Waithaka's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Waithaka closes the distance.  Ndururi drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  Waithaka ties up his opponent.  Waithaka leans on his opponent trying to wear him down.
