Boxing Daily Report from the Uganda National Finals 2028,  taking place on 26/04/2028 from Kampala, Uganda:

The Kampala venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Majid Shaker (1 - 0) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Alastair Chepyegon(19 - 27) from Kampala, Uganda.  

Round 1: 

Shaker pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a right uppercut into Chepyegon's ribcage.

Shaker steps inside.  Chepyegon throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Chepyegon holds on to his opponent.  Shaker tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Chepyegon behind the head. As they grapple, Chepyegon pushes his forearm into Shaker's face.  The ref breaks Chepyegon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Chepyegon steps away from his opponent and lands a jab.  
Shaker gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but Chepyegon clinches his opponent.  Chepyegon uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Shaker behind the head. The referee warns Chepyegon and breaks the clinch.  
Chepyegon circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Shaker connects with a cross.  
Shaker connects with a cross.  
Shaker drives a cross into Chepyegon's body.  
Chepyegon feints a cross, and then lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Shaker advances into close range.  Shaker throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Chepyegon time to recover.  
Chepyegon tries to keep the action at long range.  Shaker connects with an overhand right.  
Chepyegon is on target with a sharp left uppercut.  
Chepyegon switches the action to the outside and lands a jab.  
Shaker hits home with an overhand right.  
Shaker sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Shaker lands an overhand left to the head followed by a cross to the body.
