Boxing Daily Report from the Nanning 2028 Olympic Boxing Championships,  taking place on 16/07/2028 from Nanning, China:

The Nanning venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Round of 16 fight in the Light Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching the broadcast live from around the world, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Merrill Yabeun (18 - 8) who hails from Bamenda, Cameroon and Acastus Maras(31 - 12) from Athens, Greece.  

Round 1: 

Maras throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.

Maras advances into close range and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Yabeun lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.

Maras gets on the inside.  Maras pivots to the side of his opponent.  Maras attempts to land a right hook, but Yabeun blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Maras gets on the inside.  Maras pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents body.
