Naeem Assiful vs Paul Theron

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 09/09/2028 from Soweto, South Africa:

The Soweto venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Naeem Assiful (17 - 4) who hails from Pretoria, South Africa and Paul Theron(0 - 7) from Soweto, South Africa.  

Round 1: 

Assiful lands with a sharp jab.

Assiful voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Theron is whaling away with hooks, but Assiful keeps his defence tight.

Assiful gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Theron gets on the inside.  Assiful connects with a firm left hook.  
Theron lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Assiful lands a right uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Assiful's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.
