Nathan Hewitt vs Neil MacLachlan

Boxing Daily Report from the Australia National Finals 2029,  taking place on 11/03/2029 from Sydney, Australia:

The Sydney venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Nathan Hewitt (1(1) - 0) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Neil MacLachlan(8 - 15) from Brisbane, Australia.

MacLachlan advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping Hewitt on the ropes.  MacLachlan is on target with a right uppercut.  Hewitt ties up his opponent.  Hewitt leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. MacLachlan uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Hewitt behind the head. Hewitt uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on MacLachlan's kidney. MacLachlan uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Hewitt behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures MacLachlan about fouling.  
MacLachlan gets on the inside.  Hewitt lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Hewitt finds the target with a jab.  
MacLachlan is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut.  Hewitt ties up his opponent.  Hewitt leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
MacLachlan advances into close range.  MacLachlan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Hewitt throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Hewitt clinches his opponent.  Hewitt is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Hewitt contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  MacLachlan is on target with a cross.  
MacLachlan steps inside.  MacLachlan pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Hewitt steps to the outside and lands a jab, overhand left and a jab to his opponents head.  
MacLachlan forces Hewitt to retreat onto the ropes.  Hewitt is on target with a right uppercut.  
Hewitt tries to keep the action at long range.  MacLachlan lands a double jab to his opponents head.  MacLachlan throws an overhand left, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
MacLachlan gets on the inside.  Hewitt crashes a mean left hook to his opponents body.  MACLACHLAN IS HURT!  MacLachlan almost instantly recovers. 
Hewitt steps away from his opponent.  Hewitt sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a WICKED cross.  MACLACHLAN IS DOWN!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Hewitt!
