Boxing Daily Report from the Paraguay National Finals 2029,  taking place on 11/04/2029 from Asuncion, Paraguay:

The Asuncion venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Bantamweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Pedro Salazar (5 - 5) who hails from Capiata, Paraguay and Quico Rita(11 - 18) from Asuncion, Paraguay.

Rita throws a right hook, but misses the target.  Rita holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Rita pushes his forearm into Salazar's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Rita about fouling.  
Salazar throws a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Rita drives a firm left hook into his opponents liver.

Rita retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Salazar tries to tag Rita on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Rita switches the action to the outside and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Salazar connects with a solid cross.  Salazar throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Rita time to recover.  
Rita advances into close range and connects with a right uppercut.  Rita ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Salazar is looking to keep his distance and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Rita gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut.  
Rita closes the distance and is on target with a solid left hook to Salazar's body.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Salazar's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!  Rita's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.
