Azam Arab vs Waqas Sahrawi

Boxing Daily Report from the Saudi Arabia National Finals 2029,  taking place on 26/04/2029 from Taif, Saudi Arabia:

The Taif venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Azam Arab (23 - 27) who hails from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Waqas Sahrawi(6 - 6) from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.  

Round 1: 

Sahrawi strikes his opponents body with a jab.

Sahrawi drives a solid jab into his opponents face.  
Sahrawi feints a left, and then connects with a cross.  
Arab closes the distance.  Arab pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.

Arab digs in a solid right hook to Sahrawi's ribcage.

Arab gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut.  Arab holds on to his opponent.  Arab is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Arab about fouling.  
Arab advances into close range and throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sahrawi's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.
