Kadeem Shukla vs Kyan Tayali

Boxing Daily Report from the Uganda National Finals 2029,  taking place on 26/04/2029 from Gulu, Uganda:

The Gulu venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Kadeem Shukla (1 - 0) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Kyan Tayali(15 - 8) from Kampala, Uganda.  

Round 1: 

Shukla lands an overhand left.  
Tayali gets on the inside.  Tayali pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Tayali advances into close range.  Tayali sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Shukla connects with a right hook.  
Tayali pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to Shukla's body.  
Shukla is looking to keep his distance.  Shukla quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Tayali gets on the inside.  Tayali sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Shukla connects with a right hook.  
Tayali sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Tayali drives a jab into Shukla's body.  
Shukla switches the action to the outside.  Shukla sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Shukla finds the target with a jab.  Shukla tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Tayali gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Tayali is looking to close the distance.  Tayali sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Tayali lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Tayali circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Shukla lands a jab.  
Tayali quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into Shukla's body.

Shukla tries to land a cross, but Tayali slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Shukla's body.  
Shukla is on target with a cross.  
Tayali sidesteps to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Tayali sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Shukla hits home with a cross.  
Tayali backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Shukla accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Tayali.  Shukla is on target with a right uppercut.
