Boxing Daily Report from the South Africa National Finals 2029,  taking place on 29/04/2029 from East London, South Africa:

The East London venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Wayne Matokolo (19 - 10) who hails from Germiston, South Africa and Ndumisa Shongwe(29 - 18) from Boksburg, South Africa.  

Round 1:

Matokolo is looking to keep his distance.  Matokolo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Matokolo attempts to land a cross, but Shongwe blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Matokolo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Shongwe advances into close range and throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps.  Shongwe clinches his opponent.  Matokolo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Matokolo switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Shongwe steps inside.  Matokolo lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Matokolo's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.

Matokolo steps away from his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Shongwe forces Matokolo to retreat onto the ropes.  Shongwe hits home with a right hook.  
Shongwe sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Matokolo hits home with a right hook.  
Matokolo is on target with a cross.  
Matokolo throws a right hook, but Shongwe holds on to his opponent.  Matokolo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Shongwe is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Shongwe's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
