Villiers Ntheppe vs Charles Appiah

Boxing Daily Report from the Africa Boxing Championships 2030,  taking place on 09/01/2030 from Ogbomosho, Nigeria:

The Ogbomosho venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Villiers Ntheppe (7 - 13) who hails from Bamenda, Cameroon and Charles Appiah(42(2) - 18) from Achiaman, Ghana.

Appiah gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Ntheppe throws a left uppercut, but Appiah holds on to his opponent.  Appiah uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Ntheppe behind the head. Appiah pushes his forearm into Ntheppe's face.  The referee warns Appiah and breaks the clinch.  
Ntheppe sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Appiah connects with a left hook.

Appiah is on target with a solid right uppercut to Ntheppe's body.  Appiah ties up his opponent.  Appiah is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Appiah lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Appiah steps inside and manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Appiah hits home with a left uppercut.  Appiah holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks Appiah's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Appiah pivots from in front of his opponent.  Ntheppe connects with a sharp right hook.  Appiah holds on to his opponent.  Appiah uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Ntheppe's kidney. 
Ntheppe closes the distance and tries to land a left uppercut, but Appiah sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Appiah tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ntheppe's kidney. The ref breaks Appiah's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
