Dave Sanders vs John Dewey

Boxing Daily Report from the Australia National Finals 2030,  taking place on 14/03/2030 from Canberra, Australia:

The Canberra venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Bantamweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Dave Sanders (5 - 1) who hails from Adelaide, Australia and John Dewey(14 - 16(1)) from Cairns, Australia.  

Round 1: 

Sanders lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Sanders quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Dewey lands a right hook followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Dewey snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.  
Sanders lands a sharp cross.  Sanders tries to land a cross, but Dewey blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Sanders lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Dewey quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Sanders is on target with a sharp right hook to Dewey's body.  
Sanders steps to the outside and hits home with a stinging overhand right.  
Dewey is on target with a firm overhand right.  Dewey throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Sanders connects with a cross.  
Sanders lands an overhand left.  
Dewey cuts off the ring, trapping Sanders in a corner.  Sanders lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.

Sanders steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Dewey advances into close range and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Sanders lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Sanders holds on to his opponent.  Dewey pushes his forearm into Sanders's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Dewey to stop fouling.
