Dario Chapin vs Joaquin Rufino

Boxing Daily Report from the Costa Rica National Finals 2030,  taking place on 17/03/2030 from San Jose, Costa Rica:

The San Jose venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Super Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Dario Chapin (6 - 2) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Joaquin Rufino(6 - 0) from San Jose, Costa Rica.  

Round 1:

Rufino manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Rufino lands a straight 1 - 2.  Rufino throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Rufino feints a right hook, and then snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  
Rufino pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Chapin tries to land a right uppercut, but Rufino parries the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Rufino forces Chapin to retreat into the red corner.  Rufino lands a spiteful jab.  
Chapin advances into close range and is on target with a left hook.  
Rufino steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Chapin tries to tag Rufino on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!
