Jake Maddix vs Noel Lawson

Boxing Daily Report from the Guyana National Finals 2030,  taking place on 26/03/2030 from Linden, Guyana:

The Linden venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jake Maddix (4 - 4) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and Noel Lawson(16 - 19) from Georgetown, Guyana.  

Round 1: 

Lawson tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Lawson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Maddix finds the target with a jab.  
Lawson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Maddix tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Lawson walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Lawson sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Lawson throws a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut to Lawson's liver.

Lawson pivots to the right of his opponent.  Lawson throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Lawson pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a spiteful jab.  
Lawson tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  Lawson throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Lawson walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Maddix is on target with a sharp left hook to Lawson's body.

Maddix digs in a sharp left hook to Lawson's liver.  
Lawson steps to the outside.  Lawson feints a right, and then lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Lawson tries to land a left hook, but Maddix sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Lawson is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a firm overhand right.  
Maddix closes the distance and forces Lawson to back into the ropes.  Maddix pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Maddix gets on the inside and drives a solid right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Lawson steps away from his opponent and hits home with a solid cross.  Lawson throws an overhand right, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a sharp right hook to Lawson's ribcage.
