Fernand Fabre vs Merrill Noel

Boxing Daily Report from the Haiti National Finals 2030,  taking place on 26/03/2030 from Delmas, Haiti:

The Delmas venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Super Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Fernand Fabre (46(4) - 19) who hails from Petionville, Haiti and Merrill Noel(5 - 1) from Port-de-Paix, Haiti.  

Round 1: 

Noel stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Fabre snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
Noel attempts to land a jab, but Fabre blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Noel is on target with a jab.  
Noel attempts to land a left hook, but Fabre blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents ribs.

Fabre is looking to close the distance and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Noel is on target with a left uppercut.  
Fabre tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.  
Fabre advances into close range and lands a left hook.  
Fabre lands a jab followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Noel lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Noel feints a cross, fooling Fabre into launching a left hook counter.  Noel springs the trap and counters with  a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Noel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Fabre lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Fabre steps inside.  Fabre lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Fabre pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Fabre closes the distance.  Fabre pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Fabre walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Fabre drives a sharp right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Fabre advances into close range.  Fabre pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a stinging right hook into Noel's body.  
Noel is on target with a stinging left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Fabre's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
