Satoru Mayeda vs Hitoshi Suko

Boxing Daily Report from the Japan National Finals 2030,  taking place on 26/03/2030 from Yokohama, Japan:

The Yokohama venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Satoru Mayeda (7 - 12) who hails from Osaka, Japan and Hitoshi Suko(7(3) - 1) from Osaka, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Mayeda lands a ramrod jab.  
Mayeda lands a stinging jab.  
Suko lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Suko lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Suko is looking to close the distance.  Mayeda throws a right hook, but Suko holds on to his opponent.  Suko is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Suko lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  Suko clinches his opponent.  Suko throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Suko is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Suko about fouling.  
Suko sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Suko digs in a right uppercut to Mayeda's body.  Suko holds on to his opponent.  Suko uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Mayeda behind the head. Suko leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Suko's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Suko digs in a right hook to Mayeda's ribcage.  
Suko lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Suko lands a firm left hook.  
Mayeda steps away from his opponent and lands a jab, overhand left and a cross to his opponents head.  
Suko closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Suko is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  Suko holds on to his opponent.  Suko leans on his opponent using all his weight. Mayeda is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Mayeda.  
Suko digs in a right hook to Mayeda's body.  Suko ties up his opponent.  Mayeda uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Suko behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Mayeda to stop fouling.

Suko gets on the inside.  Mayeda tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Mayeda steps away from his opponent and lands a stiff jab.

Suko steps inside.  Suko pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Mayeda is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Mayeda lands a sharp overhand right.  
Suko pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a left hook into Mayeda's ribs.  
Mayeda throws a right hook, but Suko clinches his opponent.  Suko throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Suko walks his opponent into a corner.  Suko drives a right hook into Mayeda's body.  
Suko lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Suko gets on the inside and is on target with a left uppercut to Mayeda's body.  
Suko lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Suko lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Suko lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Suko closes the distance and attempts to land a left uppercut, but Mayeda parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Suko quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Suko digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Suko lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Mayeda drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Mayeda strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Suko advances into close range.  Mayeda throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Mayeda's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!

Mayeda finds the target with a solid jab.  
Suko gets on the inside and drives a left hook into Mayeda's body.  
Suko quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a firm left hook.  
Suko lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Mayeda almost instantly recovers. 
Suko steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Suko stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Suko connects with a SAVAGE left uppercut.  MAYEDA IS DOWN!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Suko!
