Boxing Daily Report from the New Zealand National Finals 2030,  taking place on 11/04/2030 from Auckland, New Zealand:

The Auckland venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jack Wathen (11 - 2) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Paul Lynn(5 - 19(1)) from Wellington, New Zealand.  

Round 1: 

Wathen is on target with a sharp cross.

Lynn tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Wathen is looking to close the distance.  Lynn lands a right hook.  
Wathen lands a left hook.  
Lynn tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Wathen steps inside.  Wathen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Lynn throws a right hook, but Wathen holds on to his opponent.  Lynn pushes his forearm into Wathen's face.  The referee warns Lynn and breaks the clinch.  
Lynn lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.
