Jose Villalon vs Paco Cortina

Boxing Daily Report from the Nicaragua National Finals 2030,  taking place on 11/04/2030 from Masaya, Nicaragua:

The Masaya venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jose Villalon (1 - 8) who hails from Managua, Nicaragua and Paco Cortina(10(1) - 12) from Leon, Nicaragua.  

Round 1: 

Cortina is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Cortina lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Cortina ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Cortina pushes his forearm into Villalon's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Cortina about fouling.  
Villalon throws a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Cortina throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Cortina ties up his opponent.  Cortina is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Cortina manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Cortina drives a right uppercut into Villalon's ribcage.  
Cortina lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Villalon lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Villalon throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Villalon lands a stinging jab.  
Villalon tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a jab.  Villalon tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook to his opponents body.  
Cortina gets on the inside.  Cortina pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Villalon steps to the outside.  Villalon feints a right hook, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Cortina gets on the inside and walks his opponent into the corner.  Villalon throws a left hook, but Cortina ties up his opponent.  Cortina is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cortina to stop fouling.  
Cortina pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a firm right hook.  
Cortina connects with a sharp left uppercut.  
Cortina lands with a stiff jab.  
Villalon is on target with a left hook.
