Boxing Daily Report from the New Zealand National Finals 2030,  taking place on 14/04/2030 from Auckland, New Zealand:

The Auckland venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Joey Peterson (24(2) - 28) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Oscar Matakorama(8 - 5(1)) from Manukau, New Zealand.  

Round 1: 

Peterson throws a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.

Matakorama cuts off the ring, trapping Peterson on the ropes.  Matakorama lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Peterson lands a left hook to the body, a cross to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Peterson advances into close range and drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Peterson sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Peterson lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Peterson ties up his opponent.  Peterson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Matakorama sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Peterson lands a sharp jab.  
Peterson closes the distance and is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Matakorama throws a left hook, but Peterson holds on to his opponent.  Peterson leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Peterson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Peterson steps inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Peterson digs in a solid left uppercut to Matakorama's ribs.  
Peterson steps inside and drives a stinging left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Matakorama is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Matakorama lands a hard jab.  
Matakorama walks Peterson down, trapping him on the ropes.  Peterson drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Matakorama sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Peterson lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.
