Lee Machapa vs Nick Mukondiwa

Boxing Daily Report from the Zimbabwe National Finals 2030,  taking place on 26/04/2030 from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe:

The Bulawayo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Lee Machapa (33 - 29) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Nick Mukondiwa(14 - 8) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  

Round 1: 

Machapa lands a jab.  
Mukondiwa cuts off the ring, trapping Machapa on the ropes.  Mukondiwa throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right hook.

Machapa is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Mukondiwa pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Mukondiwa connects with a sharp cross.  
Machapa tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Machapa lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.

Mukondiwa leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Machapa steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Machapa drives a left hook into Mukondiwa's ribs.

Mukondiwa advances into close range.  Machapa pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a firm right uppercut.
