Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 18/06/2030 from Helsinki, Finland:

The Helsinki venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Elia Couri (12 - 18) who hails from Vantaa, Finland and Ruuben Laurikko(16 - 14) from Helsinki, Finland.  

Round 1: 

Couri connects with a stinging cross.  
Laurikko closes the distance and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Couri is looking to keep his distance and throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Laurikko sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Couri steps to the outside and is on target with a stinging jab.  
Couri lands a left uppercut.  
Laurikko attempts to land a jab, but Couri sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Laurikko lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Couri throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.

Couri throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Laurikko holds on to his opponent.  Laurikko pushes his forearm into Couri's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Laurikko.  
Laurikko steps inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Laurikko walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Laurikko pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Laurikko lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Laurikko quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Couri quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Laurikko lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Laurikko throws a left hook, but misses the target.  Laurikko holds on to his opponent.  Laurikko tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Couri's kidney. The referee warns Laurikko and breaks the clinch.  
Couri gets on the inside.  Laurikko drives a left hook into Couri's body.  
Couri is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Couri is on target with a firm cross.  
Laurikko closes the distance.  Laurikko sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Laurikko throws a left hook, but is unable to find the target.  Laurikko holds on to his opponent.  Laurikko tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Couri's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Laurikko about fouling.  
Laurikko advances into close range.  Laurikko pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Couri's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Laurikko steps inside and drives a left hook into Couri's body.  Laurikko clinches his opponent.  Laurikko leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Laurikko uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Couri behind the head. 
Laurikko pivots to the side of his opponent.  Couri throws a left uppercut, but Laurikko ties up his opponent.  Laurikko is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Couri throws a left hook, but Laurikko clinches his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Laurikko goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Couri's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Laurikko lands two left uppercuts to the body, and one to the head.  
Couri is looking to close the distance.  Laurikko is on target with a left hook.  
Laurikko throws a right uppercut, but is off-target.  Laurikko clinches his opponent.  Laurikko uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Couri's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Laurikko.  
Laurikko lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.

Couri hits home with a left hook.
