Savas Ekmekchi vs Mehmed Kahveci

The Izmir venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Savas Ekmekchi (7 - 1) who hails from Istanbul, Turkey and Mehmed Kahveci(7 - 18) from Izmir, Turkey.  

Round 1: 

Kahveci gets on the inside.  Ekmekchi lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.

Kahveci advances into close range and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Kahveci is on target with a solid left uppercut.  
Ekmekchi lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Kahveci connects with a solid right hook.  
Ekmekchi switches the action to the outside.  Ekmekchi sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a cross.

Ekmekchi is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a jab, but Kahveci slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kahveci closes the distance and throws a left hook, but Ekmekchi ties up his opponent.  Kahveci uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Ekmekchi behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Kahveci to stop fouling.  
Kahveci walks Ekmekchi onto the ropes.  Ekmekchi is on target with a left hook.  
Ekmekchi tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a stinging jab.

Ekmekchi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Ekmekchi tries to step out of his opponents range.  Ekmekchi feints a right, and then lands with a ramrod jab.  
Kahveci walks Ekmekchi down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Ekmekchi lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.
